Endodontists are specialist dental practitioners whose treatments are concerned with issues related to the pulp of the tooth, hence the term endo, which is Greek for “inside”.

Treatments performed in endodontics include root canal therapy, designed to save a tooth if disease or damage is affecting teeth from the inside. It also covers the treatment of cracked teeth and dental injuries.
