Clinical Director of the Melbourne Institute for Aesthetic Dentistry, Dr Yvonne King has been training, lecturing and educating fellow dentists in advanced dental theories and techniques for over 20 years. Her repertoire of knowledge has gained her renown as an authority in Aesthetic Dentistry, being Australia’s first practicing dentist to be awarded the Master’s degree in Aesthetic Dentistry from the prestigious King’s College, London.
Trained extensively in Australia, the USA and Europe, Dr Yvonne King is a dentist with a passion for aesthetics, with a paramount focus on the oral hygiene of her patients.

Renowned for her exceptional talent of creating the “dream” smile that complements appearance and personality, Dr King believes that a beautiful, healthy and natural looking smile can improve your self-confidence and make a positive and powerful statement about who you are.
Initially studying and practising dentistry in Perth, Dr King later began practicing in Melbourne, where for over a decade she has honed her aesthetic skills and changed the face of dentistry in Australia by introducing state-of-the-art technologies from around the world. Dr King was the first dentist to utilise intra-oral cameras, in-surgery teeth whitening, and digital radiographs. Dr King was also the first to widely use WaterLase and Hoya-ConBio DeLight hard and soft tissue lasers.
Striving for professional excellence, Dr King is continually polishing her skills and expanding her repertoire of expertise with continued education and development. As an honoured Life Member and Diplomat of the World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry, a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry as well as a member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry, Dr King frequently opens her doors to fellow dentists, holding seminars and hands-on courses in aesthetics and technique.
A respected trainer and lecturer in laser dentistry and minimally invasive dentistry, she also holds the position of Clinical Director for GlamSmile Porcelain Veneers in Australia and New Zealand, being the first GlamSmile Accredited Dentist, she is also responsible for training other dentists in this minimal preparation veneer procedure.
Dr King and her creations have been exhibited widely in the Australian media, within television, fashion magazines, newspapers and radio.
Apart from the joy that comes from watching her patients witnessing their newly rejuvenated smiles for the first time, when she is not in surgery, Dr King enjoys spending time with her family, ballroom dancing, and if there is time, losing herself in a good book.
